The Department of Geographical Sciences has developed a strong reputation in satellite remote sensing and modeling. Center participants are undertaking research with US Government Agencies (e.g. NASA, USDA, DOE, USAID) and private industry partners. The Center participants leverage international knowledge and resources by collaborating with governments, universities, research institutes and international organizations. Participation in international programs such as GEOGLAM, AGMIP and the Knowledge Systems for Sustainability (KSS) Collaborative, provide an opportunity for members of the Center to share their agricultural monitoring research experience and develop collaborations with international partners.
